Decree No. 135/2020/ND-CP, issued on November 18, 2020, stipulates the retirement age of employees in accordance with the 2019 Labor Code. Key points include:

From 2021, the retirement age is gradually increased by 3 months per year for men and 4 months per year for women.

The standard retirement age would reach 62 for men by 2028 and 60 for women by 2035.

Early retirement (up to 5–10 years earlier) is allowed for employees engaged in heavy, hazardous, or dangerous jobs, or those with reduced working capacity.

Postponed retirement is permitted for individuals with high professional qualifications or those holding managerial positions.
This Decree took effect on January 1, 2021.
