Circular No. 18/2022/TT-NHNN, dated December 26, 2022, issued by the State Bank of Vietnam, provides regulations on statistical reporting applicable to credit institutions and foreign bank branches. The Circular sets out the system of statistical indicators, reporting regimes, methods of report submission, and the responsibilities of credit institutions and foreign bank branches in fulfilling their reporting obligations.
Specifically, it introduces a set of statistical reporting indicators, including:
- Basic reports: covering capital mobilization, lending, non-performing loans, liquidity, etc.
- Thematic or ad hoc reports: required upon request by the State Bank, such as in the event of systemic risks or significant market fluctuations.
Reports must be submitted electronically via the State Bank’s online reporting system, ensuring confidentiality and punctuality. Credit institutions are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the reported data and are subject to inspection and supervision by the State Bank.
