Circular No. 10/2020/TT-BLDTBXH, issued on November 12, 2020 and effective from March 1, 2021, provides regulations on the templates, contents, and methods for recording labor management books, labor contract books, vocational training tracking books, and equipment monitoring books for machinery, equipment, and materials subject to strict occupational safety requirements. This Circular serves as an important guideline to standardize labor management practices in enterprises, agencies, and organizations.
According to the Circular, employers are required to maintain and store labor management books and labor contract books in accordance with the standardized templates. These books must clearly reflect information such as the employee’s personal details, type of contract, working time, salary, date of signing and termination. In cases where enterprises use probationary or apprentice labor, a separate vocational training tracking book must be maintained, recording the training process and assessment results. For machinery and materials subject to strict occupational safety requirements, the Circular mandates detailed tracking of technical status, usage duration, inspection results, and periodic maintenance.
All required books may be kept in either physical or electronic form, but must be complete, accurate, and readily available for inspection by authorities. Circular No. 10/2020 contributes to enhancing labor management efficiency, protecting employee rights, and reinforcing employer accountability in complying with labor laws.
